This show is inspired by the writings of H.P. Lovecraft and his Cthulhu Mythos. You will hear readings of his works, and horror or ghost stories by other authors. The Lovecraft "period" is primarily the 1920's and you will also hear history and music from that period.
The aim is to provide anything appropriate to that time frame. However anything "Lovecraft" like or spooky is likely to appear on this show. You are invited to contribute your stories!
Well, it's been some time coming but here it finally is, episode 280. So stop complaining you damn dirty cultists! Continuing the story of Shackleton's escape from the ice at the south pole, and the escapade across Hodgeson's The Night Land.
Here's episode 279, and things are getting real down South and in the journey acorss The Night Land.
On a side note if you're enjoying "South" you should look up a book called the "Worst Journey in the World", which presents Shackleton's mission from a different point of view. It has some very dramatic moments such as when the men are hopping from ice flow to iceflow while being hunted by Orcas.
It's time for another of the Cthulhu podcast. In this episode we continue the exploration of the south pole in Earnest Shackleton's "South", and Hodgeson's exploration of a dark furture version of Earth in "The Night Land"
The Cthulhu cult is growing...and to celebrate , here is episode 276 of the podcast. As you can probably guess, in this episode we journey back down "South" with Shackleton, and then abroad in Hodgson's "The Night Land"
In today's podcast we continue the two adventures. Shackleton's true-life adventure of escape from the South Pole. Then its off into the far future for the next part of the adventure across The Night Land.
