This week I continue to run our two series.
The feature story is the next part of H.P. Lovecraft's "The Case of Charles Dexter Ward", this is part 7
We also include the next part of "Through the Brazilion Wilderness".

This show is inspired by the writings of H.P. Lovecraft and his Cthulhu Mythos. You will hear readings of his works, and horror or ghost stories by other authors. The Lovecraft "period" is primarily the 1920's and you will also hear history and music from that period. The aim is to provide anything appropriate to that time frame. However anything "Lovecraft" like or spooky is likely to appear on this show. You are invited to contribute your stories!

Very good story.

I've been struggling with this for ages because I don't want to sound ungrateful, but I can't stand it any more.
The presenter is great. The Chthuloid stff is great. The period music piece is great.
But the 'Through the Wilderness' stuff is so effing boring.
I wouldn't mind, but I can't skip past it on my MP3 player so I have to suffer for your art.
Pleeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaase knock it off and stick to the good stuff.
I understand that it's a period piece, and the protagonist's psychotic enthusiasm for killing animals does fit the horror theme, but fuck. You hear about one pequary being zappped, you've heard about 'em all.
Anyway, sorry for venting, and feel free to ignore me. I'll still listen to the show, because apart from Teddy Bleeding Roosevelt, it's great !
Do not touch the Teddy Roosevelt stuff FNH. He was a historical badass and i will not have his influence on you or the 20's ripped from this podcast!

Just goes to prove I can't "please all of the people" :)
Thanks for listening!
I've gotta say that sometimes I don't even listen to the Mythos, I just listen to the Roosevelt stories. Great work from one of my favorite podcasters.
